Robin Thicke and wife Paula Patton have announced their separation after nine years of marriage.
The Blurred Lines singer and Patton - who tied the knot in 2005 after meeting in their teens - confirmed the news in a joint statement to People magazine.

They said: "We will always love each other and be best friends, however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time."
Robin met the actress back in 1991 when she was just 14-years old, and after five years of marriage, welcomed their son Julian Fuego in 2010.
Their relationship has been hit with controversy after Patton was forced to defend her hubby's twerktastic performance with Miley Cyrus at the 2013 MTV VMA.

  She said at the time: "Honestly, they rehearsed for three days beforehand, and I don't know how not to dance with someone having their booty in your... all my friends do it like that.

"And, I don't really know what the big deal is."
Thicke has always spoken highly of Patton, recently telling Prestige magazine: "I don’t know if I would still be alive in some ways if it wasn’t for Paula.

"She’s been my rock, my muse, my inspiration and I love her. The whole way.
